Interfaith Service Council of Northumberland and Lancaster Counties in Virginia

February 2024 Update

In 2023, Interfaith Service Council, Ramp and Repair division completed a no cost home repair every 13 1/2 days! That is a total of 27 home repairs in Northumberland and Lancaster counties. 

Interfaith Service Council, whose mission is “Spreading God’s Love Through Service” provides no cost home repairs,  including wheel chair ramps, emergency assistance funds and a warehouse where community members living in Northumberland and Lancaster counties in need can receive home goods at no cost. 

We recently completed two jobs – a new roof and wheelchair ramp for a homeowner in the Mollusk area, and fixing plumbing issues for a homeowner in the Callao area.

Interfaith Service Council supports the local business community, by exclusively using Lamberth Building Materials of White Stone for all of our materials. Lamberth always provides us with quality materials, on time deliveries and professional service”. Thanks to all of the Interfaith supporters and volunteers as we continue to “Spread God’s Love through Service”.

How You Serve The Community

Interfaith Service Council relies on generous volunteers with varying backgrounds and expertise, who selflessly dedicate their skills and time to help us achieve our mission. Unable to volunteer at this time, but still want to help us reach as many families in our community as possible? Consider donating to the Interfaith Service Council. Financial and tangible donations stay directly within our community and are a crucial lifeline for those struggling to make ends meet.

We cannot take your referral directly. All of our jobs come through Social Services, local churches, local medical offices, the hospital, and The Link. Please call 804-480-0394 to arrange an appointment.

Moving or updating your home?

Updating your space and have some items to get rid of? We would gladly accept the approved items at the Interfaith Warehouse located on Harris Road. Qualifying members of the community have the opportunity to obtain the household items they need at no cost.
