Serving families in Northumberland and Lancaster Counties since 1982 with minor home repairs, building wheelchair ramps, providing household furnishings, and offering financial assistance for rent, utilities, food, and other emergencies. Our goal is to supplement and not duplicate other established service programs in Northumberland and Lancaster.

Many community members face challenges in accessing basic necessities due to physical disabilities or financial constraints. The Ramps & Repairs committee helps by building wheelchair ramps, installing or fixing roofs, building steps and handrails, and other basic home repairs.

Providing financial support can help individuals and families become more financially self-sufficient, reducing the need for future emergency assistance. Qualifying individuals can receive funds to help with utility payments, emergency housing, rent/mortgage, medical, and other needs.

When community members face financial hardship, often times they don’t have the resources to invest in essential household items. Our warehouse collects donations of new to gently used furniture and household goods from generous community members, businesses, and churches.

HOW CAN YOU HELP?

WE ARE A 100% VOLUNTEER LED ORGANIZATION

Our organization relies on generous volunteers with varying backgrounds and expertise, who selflessly dedicate their skills and time to help us achieve our mission. Despite receiving no financial compensation, volunteers gain valuable experience, build relationships, and experience the satisfaction of positively impacting their communities. Help us help the community by volunteering with us!

"They made me feel like I'm somebody, and that I'm deserving of something good being done for me. This is my blessing today."
